Summer 2008 - To say the least, this has been the hardest, craziest, toughest, but by far the best summer I've ever had! (And it's not even over yet!) It seemed God decided to reach down His hand, changing many of His people and their priorities in the process (me definitely included). This is the biggest lesson I've learned from summer of 2008 - God hears the prayers of His kids and is faithful to show Himself to those who earnestly seek Him. I asked the Lord a couple of months ago (I think) if He would show me His glory. I'm not sure I realized that this was one of those prayers that you really gotta be careful before you bring it to God's feet (kind of like "Be careful what you wish for"). The reason... He shows it to you! God has given me a love for people and his Word that I have never known before. I hope and pray that it will be life-long. I'm praying for faithful perseverance and endurance. I'm also learning to be genuine with people and love them but, at the same time, not feeling like I always have to please them or make them absolutely love me (Yeah, I've been asking God to kill my pride too :) God alone is the One that is worthy of worship and praise. So... our mission at Grace Chapel - to love God and love people- is something I'm just now learning four years after being apart of this church family! It's becoming real to me. Guess I am a slow learner after all :) But I have hope! So were Jesus' disciples! God is good. I'm so grateful He chooses to use earthen vessels...
Oh, and I plan to post pictures soon from my incredible week camping with junior highers!
