I know I haven't been blogging much since I set up a blog-spot. And I really will post more pictures soon. I promise. I felt like I needed to say something about the events of my last 30 hours. We had a tragedy occur in our church family last night. An 18 year old young man was killed in a car accident. Much of the church body and staff knew him and loved him. It's another reminder that not one of us is promised tomorrow. God sometimes works in ways that we can't possibly understand. This is exactly one of those cases. It's an opportunity for us to band together around the goal of comforting and loving this family. There is amazing power in prayer. We are only just beginning to intercede. As this young man's family faces tomorrow I cannot help but to find peace in the assurance that-with the Lord in common-you never say your last goodbye. Through this I am learning an overwhelming lesson in weeping with those who weep and mourning with those who mourn. This has to be an essential part of living life together as God's family. I am comforted by the words of Psalm 124:8 - "Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth." Praise His Name!
